Since 2016, Idex Université Grenoble Alpes has initiated and supported more than 500 events to promote culture and scientific culture in various cities of the region, in partnership with cultural and socio-economic players.

Emerging initiatives in the field of social and cultural outreach

The cycle of “Conférences d’exception” (high-profile lectures)
Three times a year, eminent scientists, including many Nobel Prize winners, are invited as part of the Conférences d’exception series. These lectures are intended for the entire scientific community, students and high school students, but also for the general public. Learn more
The scientific and artistic heritage of the university
In 2018, UGA initiated a shared policy on university scientific heritage with the creation of a network dedicated to these issues, for example the largest collection of outdoor sculptures in France found on the Saint Martin d'Hères university campus. Campus orchestra and musical ensembles
Created in 2002 and supported by IDEX Université Grenoble Alpes, the Grenoble Campus Orchestra and musical ensembles are by nature at the heart of strong partnerships with cultural players on the site. The Grenoble Campus Orchestra welcomes students and university staff who wish to pursue and perfect a symphonic musical activity while continuing their university activities. The Editorial department
Publishing activities are being developed within the Editorial department, which is showing initial results in terms of the development of publications. The "Mersenne" project", an open access publishing platform for scientific publications, the development of UGA Éditions, a shared publishing service for academic publications, and a public-private partnership have also been established with the Presses universitaires de Grenoble (PUG).
