Université Grenoble Alpes and its component establishments, Grenoble INP - UGA and ENSAG – UGA, undertake to listen to, support and protect witnesses and victims of all acts and forms of gender-based violence (GBV), in addition to handling alerts. Whether you are a member of staff, student, witness or victim of GBV, discrimination, harassment, or LGBT+phobia, you may initiate the alert procedure.
Listening
We created on online report form for staff and students at UGA and its components, Grenoble INP - UGA and ENSAG – UGA.
The information provided in the form will be transmitted to the coordinator of the procedure, who is based in the Legal & Institutional Affairs Department (DAJI) at UGA. The coordinator will transmit the incident to a two-person team of (men and women) GBV Discrimination officers. Like the coordinator, they are bound to confidentiality.
A meeting will be organised with the person who raised the alert, during which the pair of officers will listen attentively and openly, and offer guidance. The pair will inform the interviewee of the measures and support they may avail of (mental, medical and legal support).
Support
The coordinator processes and follows up on the alert, in collaboration with members of the DAJI unit and the Directorate General for Human Resources at UGA or the component institution.
- For staff, support can be obtained from the occupational physician, occupational psychologists and the Prevention department.
- For students, including doctoral students and Faculty of Medicine or Pharmacy interns, a partnership with the non-profit groups France Victime 38 and Remaid 26 enables victims of GBV, discrimination or harassment to access mental support and legal guidance adapted to their needs.
Protection
Protective measures, such as an adaptation of the workstation or precautionary distancing measures, may be put in place by the presidency of the University or component institution’s Management.
According to the situation, the victim may declare a workplace accident, obtain leave of absence, or request functional protection from the University presidency or component institution’s Management.
The University presidency or component institution’s Management may decide to open an externalised administrative inquiry, according to the situation.
Processing of alerts
In light of the acts and/or results of the administrative inquiry, precautionary, disciplinary or notification measures may be taken by the University presidency or component institution’s Management, in addition to recourse, if necessary, to Article 40 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the Grenoble and Valence courts.
