The Idex “recruitment packages”

This instrument, initiated as part of the Idex "Université Grenoble Alpes", improves the capacity to attract very high-level candidates for recruitment to permanent positions by funding a significant support budget.
This funding, announced prior to recruitment, is allocated on the basis of the quality of the candidate and his/her research project and makes it possible to fund the recruitment of doctoral or post-doctoral students and an operational budget.

Focus : creation of the Centre for philosophy of memory (CPM)

Kourken Michaelian (Director), PPL Laboratory.

Founded in 2018, the CPM is part of an international context of rapid growth in the philosophy of memory in recent years. The CPM is the first centre dedicated to the analytical philosophy of memory in interaction with disciplines for which memory is an important object of study, in particular psychology and neurosciences, but also with other philosophical traditions.

The members of the CPM publish articles in the best international journals (Consciousness and Cognition, Erkenntnis, Frontiers in Psychology, Memory Studies, Mind & Language, Philosophical Psychology, Review of Philosophy and Psychology, Synthese, Topoi, ...) and books in private or collective works in the most prestigious publishing houses (MIT Press, Oxford University Press, Routledge), organize workshops, symposia and international seminars and welcome guest researchers for short, medium and long term stays.

The CPM already enjoys an excellent reputation in the philosophical community at the international level. In particular, it relies on the Institut de Philosophie de Grenoble (IPhiG) of the University Grenoble Alpes.
