Biopolis
The “Biopolis” project was launched in the early 2000s by Grenoble-Alpes Métropole and Université Grenoble Alpes. It supports research transfer in biotech and medtech and enables the creation of startups stemming from partner research laboratories.Ecotox
Inaugurated in February 2017 by François Hollande, former President of France, the platform Ecotox - Rovaltain Research Company is one of its kind in Europe. With 5 buildings in Alixan (Valence), it develops research in ecotoxicology and environmental toxicology. This 67,000 square meter laboratory recreates ecosystems and biotopes, in order to study the evolution of pollutants in vegetal, animal and human health.GreEn-ER
GreEn-ER regroups in a single location all actors of research and education for new technologies devoted to energy. This smart building is also a place of experimentation that brings together the Grenoble INP engineering school for Energy, Water and Environment, as well as graduate and undergraduate diplomas at Université Grenoble Alpes; a laboratory, the G2Elab and learning/research platforms (PREDIS et MEE).IMAG building
The IMAG building regroups means and skills to create a critical mass of knowledge (800 professor-researchers, researchers and doctoral students), improve synergies and ensure a global visibility of Grenoble’s strengths.Inovallée
With 380 companies – 46% of which are startups – 12,000 jobs, 9,000 researchers, hundreds of patented technologies, and a significant involvement in all main technological challenges, Inovallée is a living demonstration of the success of cross-fertilization. A French “Silicon Valley”!Minatec
3,000 researchers, 1,200 students, 600 industrials and experts in knowledge transfer, all within 20 ha and close to exceptional infrastructures: MINATEC is an innovation campus unique in Europe, and a world leader in micro- and nanotechnologies.Nanobio
