The French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE)

The INRAE is a national public scientific and technological institute operating under the joint authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation and the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
The INRAE was founded on 1 January 2020 through the merger of INRA, the National Institute for Agricultural Research, and IRSTEA, the National Research Institute of Science and Technology for the Environment and Agriculture. The INRAE aims to become a world leader in agricultural, animal, plant and food sciences, and a key player in environmental sciences.
