If you live in France, you must submit or send your file by registered post to the three establishments of your choice. You can choose:
  • One major for three different universities.
  • Three different majors for the same university.
  • Three different majors for three universities.
To submit a "dossier vert" to Université Grenoble Alpes, you can:

Processing of your dossier

You must submit or send your dossier by registered post to the three establishments of your choice. It will be assessed by the three establishments at the same time.
  • December 15, 2024: deadline for submitting files to the 3 establishments of your choice.     
  • April 30, 2025: deadline for response from institutions.     
  • May 31, 2025: deadline for decision on the admission proposal. If accepted, you must confirm your choice (only one choice if you have several proposals).
If you do not reply by May 31, 2025, you will be understood to have rejected the registration offer.

French knowledge test (TCF)

The French Knowledge Test (TCF) is compulsory for all preliminary admission requests except in special cases. It is held in higher education establishments and embassies.

You must take the TCF in one of the establishments where you are applying.

Duration: 2 hrs 25 mins
Fee: €74

The TCF will be held on February 4, 2025 for Université Grenoble Alpes.

To be excused from the TCF, you must submit justification for your exemption before the dossier submission deadline.

TCF exemption conditions:
  • Applicants who are not French, from French bilingual sections included in the list compiled jointly by the French Ministries for National Education and Foreign Affairs;
  • Citizens of states in which French is the sole official language;
  • Applicants living in a country in which French is the sole official language and holders of a higher education certificate from a country in which French is the sole official language;
  • Applicants who are either citizens of or resident in a country in which French is not the only official language but whose higher education studies were provided primarily in French;
  • Applicants who have passed the written and oral exams for the Test d'Evaluation language test organized by the Paris-Ile-de-France Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
To be excused from the TCF for a Preliminary Admission Request (DAP), you must submit justification for you exemption before the dossier submission deadline on 15 December 2024.
