Summer schools

Between 2017 and 2019, 76 summer schools have been organized with the support of IDEX Université Grenoble Alpes to promote the university’s areas of excellence in research and education.
The term "Summer School" should be taken in a broad sense, as events can take place at any time of the year.
84% of the summer schools organised were aimed at an international audience, 52% were specifically dedicated to doctoral students and 31% were open to undergraduate and master's students. More than two thirds of the UGA summer schools are interdisciplinary.

For example Mountains on the move

The Mountains on the Move school for a bachelor's and master's level audience took place from 17 to 28 June 2019. The aim was to study the effects of climate change on the mountains and their populations. Numerous speakers from universities, external organisations and the IPCC presented their work during seminars or workshops, complemented by trips on the field, in the surrounding mountains.
