The 2nd session of the MOOC "Women and rural territories in Europe" will take place from March 8 to April 11, 2022.
What is the place of women in rural areas today? How are the actors organized with regard to gender equality? How can women strengthen their power to act and their skills ? The 2nd session of the MOOC "Women and rural territories in Europe" will take place from March 8 to April 11, 2022.
This Mooc proposed in 4 languages (French, English, Spanish, Greek), makes you discover the different forms of women's investments to build and innovate collectively. It contextualizes and shares in lifelong learning the practices at work in the creation of activities, in collectives, and in the deployment of know-how.

Based on elements from the Human and Social Sciences, this MOOC provides you with knowledge, methods and tools: to promote the development of initiatives, to lead participative dynamics and to create social innovations. It is illustrated by concrete examples realized collectively by the members of the European project NetRaw.

The description of MOOC

In the heart of the volcanic mountains in Catalonia, in the heights of the peaks of Olympus in Thessaloniki, between the mountains of Ardèche, what roles do European rural women play in their territories? This Mooc invites you, during 5 weeks of courses, to discover gender equality in Europe in these areas in cultural, social, entrepreneurial and ecological transition.

The MOOC "Women and rural territories in Europe" was carried out under the scientific and pedagogical responsibility of Sophie Louargant, teacher-researcher and Mélodie Roche, Research Engineer at the University Grenoble Alpes, Pacte laboratory. Accompanied by a multidisciplinary team of teachers, researchers and professionals, it is a collective, like the Mooc, representing a collaborative pedagogy.

This online course starts with historical, geographical, political elements to contextualize the place of women in Europe.

The following chapters propose to discover the interest of women's collectives and networks in the life of rural territories. They will present the notions of gender, resilience, capacities, empowerment, skills, social innovation and collaborative approaches. From the point of view of territorial and social approaches, these chapters are based on concrete examples of cooperatives, networks, and a series of interviews conducted in 4 languages. Finally, it will be an opportunity to present the approaches of third parties and the dynamics underway around labs, including the European rural women's living lab. The whole Mooc is accompanied by the presentation of concrete experiences and transferable tools.
