Université Grenoble Alpes boasts exceptional natural surroundings, unique in the country, extremely well suited to sport activities.

Recreational sports or personal training

There is a vast choice of sports activities on offer: Whatever your objective, you can practice on your own, with a club or under the supervision of a physical education teacher and an accredited athletics specialist. These are non-accredited classes.

Sports as part of your curriculum

It is also possible to obtain ECTS credits from your sports activities when taken as an “optional” university unit.

University sport competition

As a student, you can take part in university championships, whether in a group or individual sport. University competitions (local, national and international) are organized by the French Federation of Universit Sports (FFSU) and La Ligue Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
To do so, you must sign up to the sports association at UGA and obtain an FFSU licence.

High-level sport activities at the university

The specific status of “high-level student-athletes” ("étudiants sportif de haut niveau") enables athletes to benefit from tailored conditions to combine academic studies and their sports career.
