Where does the waste go once it’s put in the yellow bin? How is it sorted? Come visit the Grenoble Metropolitan Area’s waste sorting center.
Packaging, cardboard, and plastics often all end up in the same place: the yellow trash bin. To make the most of recycling our waste, we then need to sort it. That’s the work done at the Athanor sorting center for the Grenoble Metropolitan Area: human labor, optical sorters, magnets… the process is worth checking out! This tour and the educational program offered will help you better understand why it’s important to sort your waste properly and how the sorting process works once the bins have been collected.
