A single degree recognized in three countries

The degree awarded to students in the BeInPM master’s program is much more than just an international degree.
It combines, on a single parchment, three state-recognized degrees (French, Spanish, and Italian) jointly awarded by theUniversité Grenoble Alpes,the University of Barcelona, andthe University of Naples Federico II.
Unlike dual or triple degrees, which generally result in several separate documents, this joint degree certifies a single educational pathway, recognized simultaneously by all three institutions and their national authorities.

Its implementation required several years of work to harmonize regulatory frameworks, educational standards, and degree awarding procedures. This level of integration remains exceptional in Europe today and places UGA among the pioneering institutions in the development of a truly European educational program.

The signing of the latest degree by Yassine Lakhnech, president of theUniversité Grenoble Alpes, marks the culmination of this exemplary academic collaboration.

A World-Class Education in the Service of Precision Medicine

Coordinated by theUniversité Grenoble Alpes, the BeInPM master’s program is funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
Taught entirely in English, this program brings together theUniversité Grenoble Alpes, the University of Barcelona, and the University of Naples Federico II to train future specialists in precision medicine. This rapidly growing field draws on advances in genomics, biology, pharmacology, and data science to develop increasingly personalized diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

A program that attracts talent from around the world

Since its launch, the BeInPM Master’s program has established itself as an internationally recognized benchmark.
Over the course of four cohorts, it has welcomed 88 students representing 45 nationalities. Each year, 22 students are selected from up to 700 applications from around the world, a testament to the program’s appeal and excellence.

Beyond the success of this graduating class, the awarding of this joint degree represents a major step forward for integrated European degree programs. It illustrates theUniversité Grenoble Alpes ’s ambition to work with its partners to build a higher education system that is more open, more transparent, and more ambitious on a European scale.
