"Doctoral Students and Researchers" Program

UGA-Fulbright France Special Program

Under the agreement between theUniversité Grenoble Alpes and the Franco-American Fulbright Commission in France, a special program allows doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and researchers at UGA to receive a research grant to spend 3 to 12 months—depending on their project—at a U.S. university or research institute.

Doctoral Students : French doctoral students enrolled in a doctoral program in France who wish to conduct a research stay in the United States as part of their doctoral studies.
➡ Duration: 4 to 12 months
➡ Departure: between August 1, 2027, and May 1, 2028
Researchers : French researchers who are postdoctoral fellows or hold tenured positions in France (EU nationals holding tenured positions in France are also eligible).
➡ Duration: 3 to 6 months
➡ Departure: between August 1, 2027, and May 1, 2028

What is the Fulbright Program?

Established in 1948, the Fulbright Program aims to strengthen relations between France and the United States by promoting academic and scientific exchanges. Each year, outstanding researchers are selected to conduct research projects in either country.

The Franco-American Fulbright Commission offers programs for students, doctoral candidates, language assistants, researchers, teaching assistants, and community leaders.
