November 26, 2026 – November 27, 2026Grenoble - Presqu'île
From November 26 to 27, 2026, join us for “Utopia Night” at Ense3 to imagine, discuss, and shape student life in 2050.
Organized in partnership with thePublic Agency for the Territorial Coherence Plan, this event invites students from all disciplines to look ahead to 2050 and imagine their daily lives, their local communities, and how they will live and study in the future.
A Night to Imagine 2050
In 2050, how will we find housing, get an education, get around, find entertainment, and feed ourselves? These are all questions the student community is invited to explore.
"La Nuit de l’Utopie" offers a framework for collective reflection and discussion on the livability of the region, with a particular focus on youth and student life. Working in teams and guided by local experts, students share their ideas, aspirations, dreams, concerns, and solutions to develop various scenarios for the future.
All disciplines are welcome!
No expertise in urban planning or engineering is required: the event’s strength lies precisely in the convergence of different perspectives. Engineering, science, the humanities and social sciences, architecture, political science… every background can help spark new ideas. By bringing together a diverse range of backgrounds and skills, the Night of Utopia allows us to address regional challenges from multiple angles and develop solutions.
Why participate?
The Night of Utopia is, above all, a collective and immersive experience. Working in teams of 4 to 6 people, participants have one night to discuss, reflect, create, and imagine together what student life will look like in the future. The event is also an opportunity to meet students from other academic programs and engage with local experts. One night to dream about student life in 2050 and help shape the future.
