Requesting exoneration from registration fees

You wish to register at Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) or are already registered in initial education for a national diploma. Depending on your profile, you may be eligible for exoneration from your registration fees.

In which circumstances?

You are a grant holder

  • You hold a grant from the CROUS or French government (Campus France) and will register for a course approved for the award of grants.
    • You are eligible for complete exoneration from registration fees in application of article R719-49 of the French education code.
    • You must present your 2020-2021 grant notification to the admissions department of your establishment.
       
  • You hold a grant from the CROUS or the French government (Campus France) and are already enrolled on a course approved for the award of grants and have already paid the registration fees for 2020-2021.
    • You are eligible for complete exoneration from registration fees in application of article R719-49 of the French national education code and can request reimbursement of fees already paid.
    • You must send the definitive 2020-2021 grant notification to the admissions department of your establishment along with a copy of your bank details (RIB) before 30 June 2021. After this date you will no longer be able to claim a refund.
    • Refunds will be made to your bank account by the UGA accounts department.

You are a "Pupil of the French Nation"

  • You are eligible for complete exoneration from registration fees in application of article R719-49 of the French education code.
  • You must present your "Pupille de la Nation" card to the admissions department of your establishment.

You have a disability scored at over 80%

  • You are eligible for complete exoneration from registration fees in accordance with the decision of the UGA Board of Directors of 30 April 2019.
  • You must present your "Carte Mobilité Inclusion" card issued by the Departmental House for the Handicapped (Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées) on which must appear the mention "invalidity" to the admissions department of your establishment.

You are a refugee, asylum seeker or benefit from subsidiary protection

  • You are eligible for complete exoneration from registration fees in accordance with the decision of the UGA Board of Directors of 30 April 2019.
  • You must present the document attesting to your status of refugee, asylum seeker or subsidiary protection beneficiary.

You are experiencing financial difficulties and your grant money has run out

  • You can request exoneration from registration fees in accordance with the decision of the UGA Board of Directors of 30 April 2019.
  • You must submit a dossier which will be studied by the tuition fee exoneration committee.

How do I request exoneration?

The file must be returned, along with the requested supporting documents, to the education department of your faculty, institute or school.
