on the April 25, 2019
This innovative program brings an interdisciplinary approach to complex issues like human geography, resource management, climate change, tourism, glaciology and more. You can apply until April the 25th.
Because of its strategic position, surrounded by three mountain ranges, the Université Grenoble Alpes is a major international research center in mountain studies. This summer, students from all over the world will have the opportunity to benefit from this expertise in tectonics, geomechanics, glaciology, ecology, human geography, tourism, and the history of the mountains of the world.

Combining methods and knowledge from the sciences, the humanities, and social sciences, Mountains on the Move welcomes students from all disciplines seeking novel, interdisciplinary approaches to complex questions. Taught by experts in a wide variety of disciplines – economics, geology, history, architecture, and more – this course will also provide students with direct experience of the Alps in a series of field trips to the mountains nearby Grenoble.
