2016 new academic year: a few statistics on student mobility
The Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) is partnered with 653 other universities across 81 countries worldwide and has thus been able to set up a number of student exchange programmes. Below you will find a few statistics on student mobility.
This academic year, the UGA has welcomed 699 international students come, as part of exchange programmes, to study for a semester or a whole year depending on the case. They primarily hark from the following countries: the UK (14%), Germany (13%), Italy (12%), Spain (10%) and China (8%).

826 UGA students have headed abroad as part of their studies.

Those countries hosting most of our students are as follows: the UK (21%), Canada (14%), Spain (12%), Ireland (8%) and Germany (6%).
There are then several countries each welcoming between 2 and 3% of our students: the US, Finland, Italy, Sweden, Czechia, Poland, Norway, Japan, Australia, Brazil and Columbia.

Please note that these figures are not definitive, since other students will be hosted under the same conditions during semester two.

For the record, in the 2015/2016 university year, 900 UGA students headed abroad while 850 international students came to study here.
