Part of the CUPCAKE festival, this workshop and screening will focus on the themes of intercultural exchange, difference, and culture.

During the two-day workshop (April 13-14), participants will write, film, and edit a 3-minute film on one of these themes. The workshop will be managed by partners with expertise in both film and intercultural issues: the organizations Kinographe and Indian Cinema Event, the Cinémathèque de Grenoble, the UGA office of gender equity, and representatives from England's University of East Anglia.

The Workshop

This workshop, which will be run entirely in English, is open to everyone, no matter what their previous experience in film.

Participants will work in small groups; each group will have help from the members of KinoGraphe.

One group will dedicate its efforts to the specific theme of gender equity. The others will work on a topic they choose which is related to the overall themes.

Participants should be able to commit to both days of the workshop: Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14.

The Screening

April 16th is premiere night. The films created in the workshop will be screened at the Amphidice. Come to the workshop, send you film, or just show up to watch the results, the choice is yours.
