The mobility office invites you to come visit our campus and to get familiar with the university environment in a fun way. The office will also provide information on the university, as well as the main tour which will take place over thespan of four days. Point of departure for all visits, the “Central station” is situated at “Place Centrale”. The station staff, the manager, the ticket sellers, and its relaxed railway workers welcome you with a festive atmosphere like never before!
Free of charge and open to all students (and staff)!

Ways of getting around

Little train

Embark on an audio-guided tour like never before and discover everything the campus has to offer, ranging from the architecture, the grounds, the artwork, and old campus anecdotes.

Departing every hour on the hour from 11 am to 3 pm.

Omnibus

Hitch a ride on the Omnibus for a beautiful drive through the campus grounds.

Departures at 11 am 12 am 1 pm 4 pm and 5 pm.

Sightseeing Carts

Borrow a cart (3 or 6 seater) for 30 minutes and freely roam the campus as a group!

Bikes and electric bikes

Grenoble’s yellow bikes will be here, ready and waiting for your campus tour. And if you prefer an easier way of getting around, reserve an electric bike!

To reserve ordinary bikes, go to the Metromobilité stand, and for electric bikes go to the Pony stand.

Activities on your way through the campus

To enhance your visit, several services offer activities on campus.
  • "Vive le sport U" station
    SUAPS offers you an information stand on sport at the UGA and a programme of sports and artistic activities all week long.
    Discover the programme and register for the activities
     
  • University libraries Droit - Lettres and Joseph Fourier
    They offer fun quizzes to discover their spaces. Go to the reception of the two BUs.
     
  • Doctoral College (CED) // Thursday 16/09 at 1.30pm and 3.30pm
    It proposes to show you the "GPS art" work located in front of the Jean Kuntzman doctoral house

Checkpoint Rallye goodies

Get your “campus card” stamped in at least two of the following locations and get your UGA goody bag when you return to the Central station:
  • The iCampus tent - Welcome Centre
  • The Collège doctoral (CED) // exclusively during the afternoon on the 16th of September
  • Orientation Space and Professional Integration (OIP) // from Tuesday 14th September to Thursday 16th September (except between 12 noon and 1pm)
  • The “Vive University Sports” Station
  • The Joseph Fourier university library and the library of Arts-Law

  • UGA Shop: to get your UGA merch from head to toe!
  • The station’s buffet: the Crous’ red and brown food truck offers free coffee, a snack, a tasty burger, or afternoon tea... With an outdoor seating area available on the platform.
  • The Kiosk: find all the information on UGA’s services.
  • A free-to-use piano provided by the UGA Foundation for the entertainment of travellers.
  • SNCF ticket office: everything you need to know about the TERs and the SNCF offers (subscriptions, reductions, great deals...) which will be available to you during the academic year.
  • MGEN ticket office: specially organised events such as Photobox and Competitions as well as a warm welcome and a look at healthcare coverage.
  • A photobooth to immortalise your visit to Central station.

Respecting safety measures is very important.
In the Central Station, face masks are obligatory.
