International Students – the Service des Sports welcomes you!
The Université Grenoble Alpes's Service Universitaire des Activités Physiques et Sportives (SUAPS) offers a wide variety of athletic activities – whether you enroll in a graded course or sign up for a sport in your spare time. In addition, several special activities target international students with an introduction to the alpine region, or courses in English.

Discover Grenoble's Mountain Environment

Those looking to take advantage of Grenoble's rich alpine environment may wish to enroll in one of the SUAPS' many courses introducing students to the mountains and mountain sports.

Get an introduction to the mountains with Montagne - “Randonnée Nature & Patrimoine” – hiking and snowboarding in the mountains with an introduction to local flora and fauna and local history, plus how to read a map, mountain safety, and more.

Or sign up for ski or snowboard courses – all levels are welcome, even complete beginners. Nordic skiing is also offered.

For the more adventurous, try mountain climbing or via ferrata – beginners welcome.

Relaxation and Well-Being

New this year, the course “Body and Health” is offered in Engilsh for international students. This course aims to help students relax, eliminate tension and tight muscles, and to manage stress so that you can make the most of your experience in Grenoble. It's also a great opportunity to meet other international students.

The course teachers Pilates, yoga, relaxation techniques, strength training, jogging, and meditation. It meets Thursdays in the Salle d'Escrime at the University Sports Center and Swimming Pool.
