Following the evaluation conducted by the international jury on June 8th, the government announced the final confirmation of the Université Grenoble Alpe Initiative of Excellence (Idex) on Wednesday, June 30 at the end of the Council of Ministers.
This accreditation marks the recognition of the quality of education and research at Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA). UGA is now one of eight French universities to have its Idex confirmed (Université de Bordeaux, Université Aix-Marseille, Université de Strasbourg, Sorbonne Universités, Paris Sciences et Lettres, Université de Paris Saclay, Université Côte d'Azur). The University of Paris will be evaluated next year.

At the end of the five-year probationary period, we have succeeded in building a word-class university which integrates Grenoble INP, Sciences Po Grenoble, and the ENSAG architecture school, and which has further strengthened its ties with national research organizations in the region (CEA, CNRS, INRAE, Inria, Inserm, etc.).

This definitive accreditation provides the UGA with the conditions and means to continue leading collective change, creating synergies, and maintaining its ability to define a common strategy with a high level of subsidiarity. The quality of education, research and life on the UGA campuses will remain at the heart of its commitments.

Yassine Lakhnech, President of Université Grenoble Alpes: "I would like to congratulate the students and staff and thank all those who have contributed to this success. This accreditation confirms the international outreach of the UGA and its role as a driving force for the region."
