The Grenoble Academic Institute of Technology 1 (IUT1), with more than 50 years' experience, is a major hub for technological training in scientific and technical fields.

Thanks to constantly adapting, high-quality teaching supervision from lecturers, research professors and professional speakers, the IUT1 prepares middle managers and technicians who are highly regarded by industrialists by helping them to gain a DUT (two-year course open to students who have obtained their baccalaureate or equivalent) or vocational Bachelor's degree.

8 DUT are on offer.

17 vocational bachelor's degrees (one-year course) can also be studied by students who have a DUT, BTS (two-year technician higher education diploma) or have completed the second-year of their bachelor's degree.

The IUT1 is known for welcoming :

  • An extremely varied student body: with a wide range of baccalaureate qualifications (general, technological or vocational) or with specific constraints (sporty, artistic or disabled students for example).
  • International exchanges, with a number of internship or continuing education possibilities with our partner universities in Europe, America and Asia.

Many educational, professional, financial and international partnerships.
