The University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA) has reaffirmed its academic excellence and international appeal by ranking 130th among European universities in the 2026 edition of the QS World University Rankings Europe, published on January 28. Nationally, UGA ranks 6th among French universities and is the top-ranked French university outside of Paris.
This leading ranking, which evaluates scientific quality, graduate employability, and the international reach of institutions, recognizes UGA among 958 European universities from 42 countries—a significant increase from the previous edition (+274 institutions).
