The International Advisory Board: An International Perspective on Changes at UGA
International
24, September 2026
From September 22 to 24, Université Grenoble Alpes welcomed its International Advisory Board (I-AB). Created in 2022, this committee brings together high-level international experts from the academic, economic, and institutional worlds. Consulted on the institution's strategic directions, it provides an external perspective on UGA's developments and formulates opinions and recommendations to support its projects and transformations. The I-AB meets once a year.
For this fourth edition, the I-AB kicked off its proceedings with a day of visits and meetings with the scientific and academic communities, students, and student organizations. These opportunities for dialogue allowed committee members to gain a better understanding of the realities and dynamics of the UGA ahead of two days of work devoted to the institution’s challenges and strategic directions.
A time for dialogue and reflection
The work of the I-AB and the exchange of perspectives have made it possible to examine the decisions that have been made, identify new avenues for exploration, and advance thinking on issues related to the university’s development, appeal, and influence. This work thus supports UGA’s strategic planning by enabling a critical review of past decisions and providing insight into future directions.
