Do you want to study abroad at the Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) as part of a student exchange program? Here are information about the application process and the steps to prepare your stay in Grenoble.

Step 1: nomination


Contact your international relations to make sure that the UGA has a valid partnership with your home university and to find out how to apply at the UGA.

It is your home institution that selects you and informs the relevant services of the UGA.
 
  • Have you been selected to study at UGA as part of the ERASMUS+ program or a bilateral agreement with one of our faculties?
You will have to follow the majority of your courses at the faculty with which your university has an agreement.
 
  • Have you been selected to study at UGA as part of the UGA bilateral agreement or an exchange programme such as TASSEP (Trans-Atlantic Science Exchange Program), ORA (Ontario-Rhône Alpes student exchange program) and PEE/BCI (Programme d'Echanges Etudiants from the Bureau de Coopération Interuniversitaire) or the AURORA Universities Network?
Consult the disciplines offered by each faculty and the course catalogue to identify the host faculty that interest you. Attention, you must select the majority of your courses from one faculty.

Step 2: application


Once you are selected at home, the UGA will send you a link to an online application for study in Grenoble.

You will have to provide the following supporting documents:> Consult the guidelines on drawing up your learning agreement

Accepted students are then informed by the host facutly of their admission.

Step 3: registration


Your final registration both at the university and for classes will take place once you have arrived in Grenoble. You will receive your student ID card, and your password for campus wifi, online student resources, etc at that time.

Don't forget to bring all the necessary documents with you to finalize your registration

Please note:

  • Exchange students pay tuition at their home university.
  • Exchange students are not entitled to a UGA degree or diploma at the end of their stay. However, a final transcript or your coursework at the UGA, including the number of ECTS credits, will be sent to your home institution.
