How can we preserve our cultural heritage in the face of the challenges posed by climate change?
Floods, heat waves, earthquakes, erosion... The effects of climate change and natural hazards pose an ever-greater threat to our cultural heritage. Addressing these challenges requires innovative, interdisciplinary, and action-oriented approaches.
The Graduate School@UGA and the RISK Institute at theUniversité Grenoble Alpes are now accepting applications for the 2026 RISK Summer School!
This fifth edition will focus on the theme "Climate Change Effects and Risk Management for Cultural Heritage: Sustainability and Resilience" and will bring together students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and professionals to discuss issues related to the preservation of cultural heritage in the face of climate change.
The program includes presentations by international experts, interdisciplinary discussions, roundtable discussions, and field visits, all aimed at exploring innovative approaches to strengthening the resilience and sustainability of cultural heritage.
Organized in collaboration with the European ATLAS project, this summer school is free and open to everyone upon registration.
