How do the products get to you? Some of them go through the Marché d'Intérêt National (MIN), now known as the Grand Marché des Alpes. Come visit this place and see how it works.
The Grand Marché des Alpes is a logistics hub dedicated to the wholesale distribution of food products. Open as early as 4 a.m., it allows professionals—including restaurant owners and retailers—to source supplies from the twenty companies located on-site. From fruits and vegetables to meat, cheese, and dry goods, a wide variety of products are available. As part of its commitment to sustainability, the market prioritizes local producers and short supply chains.
Meet at 7am, but it's for a good cause! The visit is limited to 25 places, and reserved for UGA staff and students.
