Post-High School Forum: Drôme and Ardèche

Forum, Open House Training, Career Guidance, and Job Placement

The Valence Post-High School Forum is co-organized by the UGA Valence Drôme Ardèche Campus Administration and *L’Etudiant*. Its goal is to present high school students in the Drôme and Ardèche departments with the most comprehensive selection of post-high-school educational programs possible.
Two days dedicated to career guidance and exploring universities and post-high-school institutions (both public and private institutions under contract with the government) in the Drôme-Ardèche region, at the University of Grenoble Alpes, and throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

The fair is funded by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the departments of Ardèche and Drôme, Valence Romans Agglo, and the city of Valence.

Nearly 130 education providers (universities, schools, training organizations, etc.) will be on hand to answer all questions from high school students and their families!

High school students can now create their own personalized visit itinerary by adding their preferred exhibitors and conferences to their “favorites” on the fair’s website or by downloading the “Salons l’Étudiant” app.

Who is the trade show intended for?

  • High school students who are working on a career planning project and learning about Parcoursup.
  • Students who wish to continue their studies after completing two or three years of post-secondary education or who wish to change their academic focus.
  • Parents and teachers who guide young people in their choices regarding their education and careers.

What is there to do at the fair?

  • Meet with universities and post-secondary institutions (both public and private institutions under contract with the government) in Drôme-Ardèche, Grenoble, and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
  • Plan your career path with the help of the career counselors and school psychologists from the French Ministry of Education who are on hand.
  • Attend information sessions on various academic programs and career paths—a unique opportunity to discuss topics of interest, such as Parcoursup, degrees, career opportunities, and professions. Download the list of information sessions (coming soon).
  • Learn about student life: housing, scholarships, health, sports, culture, academic accommodations (for students with disabilities, elite athletes, artists, and socially engaged students), international mobility, and more…

  • Select the participating venues to plan your tour.
  • Download your free , mandatory invitation to attend the trade show.

To organize a group tour

  1. Visit https://forum-post-bac-valence.salon.letudiant.fr/fr (coming soon)
  2. Click the “Register a School Group” button on the fair’s home page.
  3. Next, download your group QR code, which you’ll show at the entrance to the fair on the day of the event (you don’t need to print it; you can show it on your smartphone).
  4. Your students do not need to download an individual QR code.
The Post-Baccalaureate Forum is an opportunity to explore the many possible educational paths:
short-term, long-term, vocational, or general studies programs; initial training or work-study programs; preparatory classes; universities; IUTs; engineering schools; and other specialized schools.

Career Guidance Center

  • Career guidance and employment placement counselors and school psychologists from the French Ministry of Education will be on hand to answer all your questions and help you plan your academic and career paths: Parcoursup, continuing your education after the baccalaureate, changing your academic focus, academic tracks, careers, job opportunities, and the steps you need to take to enroll in higher education.
  • In addition, documentation and books will be available to you.

Student Life Center

  • Housing, financial aid, health, sports, culture, academic support, international mobility, civic service, everyday student life, student organizations…
  • You'll get practical advice and answers to your questions!

Conferences

  • You'll be able to participate in four quizzes and attend themed lectures.
  • Among the new features: a lecture on caesura.
  • These conferences will put you in direct contact with education experts, teachers, and businesses. Parcoursup, international mobility, short-term programs, preparatory classes, health studies, further education, and career opportunities are other examples of topics that will be discussed during these events.
