Don’t miss this orientation and information session, which will address the main questions about the Ph.D. program and connect you with the right people to talk to. Hear from many current Ph.D. students.
Everything You Need to Know About the Doctorate
What is a Ph.D.? Why pursue a Ph.D.? How do you complete a Ph.D. in France, and at UGA in particular? How do I find a topic and funding for my dissertation? Who are the key players in the Ph.D. program (advisors, laboratory, School, and Doctoral College, etc.)? How do I complete a Ph.D. under a joint supervision arrangement with a foreign university? What training is available during the Ph.D. program? What career paths are available after completing the dissertation? What support is available for doctoral students, particularly those from outside Grenoble and international students?
Armed with this information, you can then meet with representatives from one of the 13 doctoral schools to which you wish to apply.
