Participate in the large-scale collection of menstrual hygiene products in your departments and units!

As part of its commitment to combating period poverty, UGA, in partnership with Planning Familial 38, is organizing a large collection of sanitary products and pads for its university community in Grenoble and... Valence This year, each department or component can organize its own collection!

How can I participate?

Are you a UGA staff member? You can organize a collection in your department or unit! To do so: place a box (like a paper box) in a high-traffic area (break room, common room, meeting room, near the printers), attach the explanatory poster below, and declare your initiative here . You can also use the tutorial here to build a collection box.

Where to donate?

Throughout October, you can donate sanitary pads and menstrual products at collection points organized by your departments and units! Tell us about your local collection points here .

How to do Valence in Drôme-Ardèche?

Collection is also offered for the components of Valence Drôme-Ardèche this year, but without the support of Family Planning 38. A specific poster is available for download. Otherwise, you can start the process like all the other components!

Why give?

Period poverty affects one in three menstruating people in France. Four million women and menstruating people lack access to menstrual products, have difficulty obtaining them, or do not have enough. This particularly affects students.

What is the UGA doing to combat period poverty?

The UGA is committed to fighting period poverty by offering:
  • disposable protective equipment available in student living areas
  • washable or disposable protective kits made available free of charge to people in financial difficulty
  • training courses on menstrual poverty
  • workshops for sewing menstrual panties.
