Artificial Intelligence is transforming healthcare, culture, information, marketing, education, and more. But how are these systems—integrated into the tools we use every day—radically changing our personal and professional habits? Given concerns such as the consumption of natural resources and a lack of control over the management of personal data, how can we take charge of these AI systems by adopting best practices? Through multidisciplinary topics, this MOOC—which is open to everyone free of charge—invites you to understand the changes currently underway and, in doing so, to become an informed and conscious participant in these changes.
Reason #1: Using Artificial Intelligence Mindfully
As an integral part of the national “EFELIA-MIAI” Skills and Careers of the Future project, which aims to make AI training accessible to everyone, the teaching team invites you to delve into the hidden risks of AI, such as algorithmic bias, privacy violations, dependence on automated tools, and the spread of misleading content. Understanding these gray areas enables everyone to make informed choices and use AI with perspective, vigilance, and discernment.
Reason #2: Broaden Your Horizons Through a Multidisciplinary Approach
With the participation of a large number of speakers from 10 fields of research and several professional sectors, AI is explored through the lens of the humanities and social sciences, computer science, environmental sciences, health, law, human resources, marketing, and philosophy. Taking into account the interconnection of all these dimensions, these five weeks provide an opportunity to reflect on the role of AI in our society.
Reason #3: Raise awareness about responsible digital culture
This MOOC raises awareness about the environmental impacts of digital technology, the challenges of technological restraint, and responsible data management. It promotes a citizen-centered approach to AI that balances innovation and sustainability.
Reason #4: Use these tools to navigate the professional changes currently underway
This MOOC helps participants understand how task automation is transforming professions and redefining the skills required. It also highlights potential biases and pitfalls in AI-assisted recruitment processes, helping participants understand their limitations and manage them effectively.
Reason #5: Exchanging perspectives on global societal issues
Open to a French-speaking audience, this MOOC includes forums dedicated to discussion and sharing experiences. Moderated by the teaching team, these forums will give participants a voice to express their questions and diverse experiences based on the region of the world where they live. This will be a unique opportunity to reflect on our habits and practices—whether personal or professional—as well as our fears and hopes on a global scale.
