In what circumstances can you ask for your administrative registration to be cancelled?

Automatic cancellation

You can ask for your administrative registration to be cancelled automatically and for your tuition fees to be reimbursed in part if one of these scenarios applies in your case:
  • You cancel your registration before 30 September 2016.
    The form must be returned by 30 September 2016 at the latest.
  • Registration in another university or other institution.
    The form must be returned by 30 November 2016 at the latest.
  • You cancel your PACES (first year of core medical education) registration by 31 October 2016, the legal deadline.
    The form must be returned by 31 October 2016 at the latest.

Other cases

The criteria on the basis of which registration may be cancelled, with reimbursement, include:
  • Family or spouse moving for professional reasons.
  • Health reasons.
  • Employment.
  • No host company if undertaking work-linked training.
  • Continuing studies abroad or as part of a private course.
  • Refusal of double registration in an accredited training course.
You need to submit an application form which will be examined by a committee on a case-by-case basis. Application forms must be submitted by 30 November 2016. Past this deadline, your withdrawal will be taken note of but your registration may not be cancelled or reimbursed.

Please note: for distance learning courses, the deadline for submitting forms is 2 January 2016.

Please be aware that

  • By cancelling your administrative registration you lose your student status and therefore, where applicable, your student social security cover.
  • If your tuition fees are reimbursed, a €23 administrative fee will be retained.
  • Secondary registration is never cancelled.
  • As soon as you have had access to your modules, the registration fees for any distance learning course may no longer be reimbursed.
  • Reimbursement of your contributions to the student social security scheme must be requested from URSSAF.
  • Students on a grant may cancel their administrative registration, but the preventive medicine fee (€5.10) will not be reimbursed.
  • If paying in three instalments, reimbursement is only possible once the third instalment has been paid.
